The Common Descendant



Even if people lived forever, everyone could still have one child and the population would stabilize at about twice where it was when that feat was achieved.

Except for one person: The common descendant, who would be a descendant of every other person on the planet.

(Ignoring for a moment people occasionally dying of other causes.)
