The Future of Programming

I realized recently I am, sadly, a disabled programmer. Every time I try to write code I get so disgusted by the current state of computer science that I invariably devolve through a set of build-better-tools steps into reinventing programming itself from the ground up. (Needless to say, this isn't conducive to short term personal progress.)
