Lucia, and Early Winter Images

We were invited to celebrate Lucia with a friend of Clare*'s. The Swedes apparently adopted Lucia from the Italians and turned it into an excuse--nay, commandment--to eat a large assortment of cakes and candies.

All the walking paths around here make me realize how conspicuously absent they are in the U.S.. Sidewalks just aren't the same.
