There is something worse than not being able to figure out life's perplexing problems: Figuring them out, and not liking the answers.

I've never considered myself terribly subject to the usual phases of dealing with tragedy: shock, denial, anger, acceptance (some might say indifference). But I realized last night this pretty well depicts the evolution of my experience of the human race.
