How Many Sheeple Must Die?

What if It's All Been a Big Fat Lie?

The greatest flaw of the human mind is its ability to declare something as obvious--particularly when that emotional sense of truth is acquired not through personal experience or understanding but through language, whether directly or, more commonly and insidiously, through presupposition.

It is not enough simply to be skeptical of what you hear or read, because it is not the consciously apparent claims which are the hazard -- it is all the things which are taken for granted, treated as obvious by the world around us, which we subconsciously absorb as obvious ourselves.

What you perceive is what you perceive--this is axiomatic. And what you feel is what you feel. But what you feel to be true, no matter how convincingly felt, may well be just a faulty emotion. And this is where we can overcome our greatest flaw, by consciously acknowledging that what is too obvious to question is exactly what we must.

And yet, this most people refuse to do, because most people simply cannot go that Meta, cannot jury-rig the chains of their own primitive volitions. They are programmed beneath their awareness, and they become that program.

The witch hunts, the wars, the unspoken but stifling constraints of every-day society... I can't help but to see how huge the potential of life is, and what a tiny little fleck of it we have chained ourselves to. And this brings a tear to my eye, to see all that time and potential gone, unrecoverable within my own finite lifetime. There could be so much more.

So much.
