The Inverted Cave

My daily hit log alerted me to my life's cursory mention as a cautionary tale in Jaffo's latest rant at Andrew*.

The funny thing is I agree with much of what he is saying, and recalling preludes to this I almost want to say "told ya so!", but concurring with Jaffo on anything borders on petty convenience since he is a cannon of random extremes. (I don't mean that as an insult, per se, just a, uh, cautionary commentary on style.)

I'm actually not offended in the least by his cursory mention -- I'm flattered that I still keep him entertained enough to remember, and his tone reassures me that I haven't gotten too soft and fluffy in my old age.

Still, though, I am patiently waiting for him to grow through his parade of veneered idols, and to start looking for (and recognizing) real people as such. I think he does, in real life, but on the web he seems to be seeking, or seeing, something else.

You created the Andrew* you knew, Jaffo, just as you've created me. It's your forte', telling stories, and when your interface to a world is through them, you are the creator of your own reality.
